I don’t know what it was, but for some reason I never LOVED the decor in my daughters room. After trying so hard to give her a girly yet chic bedroom I accepted that nothing I was doing turned out how I had imaged. Her room is a pretty decent size, but it always seemed cluttered and SO messy. (the photos below are after like 2 hours of cleaning!) I couldn’t take it anymore – cue Boho Chic Bedroom Refresh!
We agreed that we didn’t want to spend a ton of money, so I first sought out things in the house to “reuse”. I was able to keep her name sign, reuse some pillow covers that I already had, paint her vanity, use wall paint and chalk paint I had on hand and keep some of the wall decor. The crystal chandelier that I made her was also staying. Although, I really regret not putting ceiling fans in the kids bedrooms. But a lot of blood, sweat, and tears went into that chandelier, so I wasn’t ready to part with it yet!
I was also able to sell her bed/bedding/decor to help off set the cost of the new stuff. Without getting out a pen and paper, I would say overall I was able to give her room this total makeover for under $100.
The Before’s
Don’t get me wrong, the room is cute! But again, it just didn’t flow how I had intended it to. She is just a tiny little thing so at this point she really didn’t need a full size bed. It just ended up collecting toys on 3/4 of the bed and her sleeping in a tiny space at the top! That was the first thing I knew had to go.
I also wanted to get rid of the curtains, give the vanity a face lift, and add a really cool focal point to the room. And of course, no room in my home is complete without a rug from Boutique Rugs or a Beddy from Beddy’s Beds!

I love everything about this room now! It just screams Boho Chic to me! There are so many things that are her “favorite part” it changes every time you ask her! From the swing, to the lights, everything is just perfect she says. And can we just take a minute to appreciate that sweet little phone!! I got that out of one of the houses I am flipping. I am so excited that I finally took the time to give her room the attention it needed. Although it is still fresh, she has kept her room spotless since the makeover! Fingers crossed it stays that way!

Hi! I’m curious about the colors of your daughter’s rug. How do you think they’re best described? I have a gray sectional similar to the color of what your sectional looks like, would you say that rug would match your gray sectional?
I was wondering where you got your dinning room table from? I have been looking around and haven’t seen one that color and style.
We actually built it!
Love this room! What is the carpet called? I’ve been looking for a good carpet for bedrooms, would you recommend this?
Im so sorry I dont remember what the carpet is. I do know its from Lowes and its their midgrade brand. One that has to be ordered!
Hi! I love your daughters room maker over. Would you mind sharing the paint color you have on your doors?? I’ve been searching for a nice charcoal color and love yours! Thanks .
Thank you! They are SW Gauntlet Gray! 🙂
