When the opportunity arose for my first design flip, to say I was ecstatic is an understatement. I absolutely love staging homes and decorating, but designing and flipping homes has always been a dream of mine. I have watched about 2468735134 shows on HGTV constantly daydreaming of the day I would finally get to put my skills to the test. Thanks to John “Dan” Bethel Real Estate Broker that dream was finally going to be a reality!

Dan warned me that this house was not pretty. He said it would be a true test of my abilities. It was old, outdated, and quite frankly had a terrible layout. From the minute I walked into this house I was smitten. This house was 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, around 1500 square feet. I immediately saw through the multi colored walls and paneling and fell in love with the original hardwood floors, design potential, and overall charm.

The Process

As the gears started to turn a few things were certain.

  • The paneling had to go.
  • The accordion door needed replaced
  • The cabinets needed painted
  • The bathroom was a complete gut.

Luckily, almost everything was cosmetic which made my job a lot easier! Within a few months, my first design flip was complete! Prepare yourself for drool worthy before and afters. Shes a beauty!
