If you are just stumbling across this home tour you can find Part 1 – The Entry here, and Part 2- The Dining Room here. Part 3 of this spring decor home tour features our open concept living room. As you can see we have no walls between our entry, kitchen, living, and dining space. I absolutely love the open concept of our great room, especially when entertaining.
Details on the entry way, flooring, and paint can be found here.

The TV Space
The frame around the TV was a DIY that didn’t exactly turn out as planned. We had every intention of recreating Holly and Brad @ourfauxfarmhouse ‘s TV frame. But when my husband cut the first board too short and I was too impatient to wait to buy additional lumber we modified it to this. Overall I am still extremely pleased with how it turned out! Unfortunately I don’t have any plans to share because this one was of those “lets just wing it” situations.

The Fireplace
Oh fireplace, sweet fireplace. Everything about this fireplace is FAKE… you read that right. F.A.K.E. The shiplap at the top is luan strips, the “brick” is drywall joint compound, and the hearth is hollow. Fake it till you make it my friends. The brick is based off of Jessica @the_rusticpallet ‘s faux brick tutorial. I didn’t take tons of pictures of the process but plan on sharing a tutorial on that soon! Each brick is painted individually. It was a labor of love but it looks great and cost about $14.00.
- The Scroll was a DIY
- The black signs are from Hobby Lobby
- The gray pillows are from Sams Club
- The lanterns are from Menards
- The sconces are from Hobby Lobby – similar one here

I don’t mean to brag but is this open concept goals or what? I am so glad we did not settle and made our own floor plan. If you want to read more about our building process you can start that here.

What is the exact flooring you used in your house? When I clicked on the link, it looked like a very dark flooring compared to what you have in your house.
The flooring linked is the correct one! It just looks darker in the online photo. But keep in mind that my photos do have a filter on them. If you want to see an unedited picture of it send me a message on Instagram and I’ll send you one βΊοΈ
