ITS FINALLY DONE!
This room has been a long time coming, but I am so happy that it is finally done! We had one room left to finish in our basement. And while eventually the plan is to make it into a bedroom for my daughter, she is no where near ready to move downstairs. So instead of leaving it as storage, we decided we for the next few years we wanted to utilize it for something else!
We knew we wanted a guest bedroom, but having a home gym has always been something we have considered as well. We are no where near exercise enthusiast, but I would like a dedicated space to do some yoga or walk on my treadmill! At that point we decided to go with BOTH! A multifunctional home gym/guest bedroom! And it turned out better than we could have ever imagined!

The Bed
In order to have room for the exercise equipment, our best option was a murphy bed! We did some research and decided to go with a murphy bed kit from amazon. The hardware kit also included a cut list and build instructions! I added two bookshelves on either side and then with a little caulking and paint it looks like one big furniture piece!
